Holiday Thanksgiving Meal Outreach

At Thanksgiving, we pack grocery bags full of a hearty Thanksgiving Dinner for low-income families. This past year 2008 we distributed over 400 full holiday dinners to low income families and group homes in our local community for both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

This year we will give out and hand-distribute approximately 1,000 full holiday dinners to low income families and group homes in our local community for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

The phone calls are already coming in and because the need is so great in our community, we also will need more turkeys for this year, 2009.

Our youth and adults also collect food donations at our local Stater Bros and Albertsons where the community actually gets involved by giving to YAS.

YAS would greatly appreciate if you would help our organization by donating to the Thanksgiving Holiday meal giveaway. Some of our donators have been and are, Albertsons, Gelsons Food Market, Fresh and Easy as well as Second Harvest Food Back.

Along with the Christmas toy giveaway we as a community ministry, gave over 150 full holiday meals donated from our local Fresh and Easy and Albertsons along with gifts for the children.

What if my family needs a turkey dinner ?

Then come to the Wednesday food distribution for the next two Wednesdays, November 11th and the 18th to sign up and get your turkey ticket between the hours of 8:30am and 10am.
