Isaiah 58:10-11 (ESV)
If you pour yourself out for the hungry, and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.
Matthew 25:37,40 (ESV)
Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.
We are moms, wives, husbands, fathers, children, grandparents, grandchildren, retired, disabled, diverse ethnicities and diverse cultures, poor, middle class, wealthy, some with slight education, some highly educated volunteers but our common goal is to help our neighbor in need and show the love of Christ in the process. We are working on becoming a great food pantry. Instead of doing a lot of different ministries to those in need we desire to perfect feeding those who have a need without restrictions.
There is a true need right where we live. But our philosophy is give local, serve local to anyone who has a need. Our local virtual food pantry is here so you or your company can help right here in Orange.
At this time, many food pantries are closing because they can’t operate without food and don’t have the funds available to pay food bank agency fees or purchase the basic necessities people need. We are centrally located on the busiest street in Orange and Garden Grove so we are easily accessible to buses and people walking. We currently have other small churches and senior citizen groups contacting us because they need food. Our hearts are broken because the other local food pantries are closing.
We serve with compassion, dignity and love.
We do not charge any fee of any kind for anything.
We are not supported by government grants.
We collect the food and give it to the person in hand.
We are debt free and plan on staying that way so that we may serve the community for many years to come.
